Step into my enchanted courtyard, where the spirit of Christmas comes alive!

This joyful space is the heart of our festive season entertainment—a place where family and friends gather.

Sprinkled with whimsy and nostalgia, it brings childhood Christmases back to life.

The vibrant decor of lime green, cheerful orange, and bold red takes centre stage, breathing energy into every corner of the courtyard.

These strong colours set the tone for a playful and festive ambiance that invites everyone to leave their worries behind and embrace the wonder of the season.

Adding to the enchantment are the courtyard’s quirky inhabitants.

Mickey and Minnie stand proudly next to whimsical, colourful trees, their cheerful faces welcoming guests to join in the fun.

The mischievous Mr. Grinch lurks nearby, while Cindy Lou Who radiates her irresistible Whoville charm.

A red rocking reindeer—not a rocking horse—adds a unique touch, and you’ll find reindeer decorations scattered throughout, a nod to my love of these delightful creatures.

Beneath a charming lamppost stands a special statue of singing carolers, a gift from my dear friend Lynne, a piece that holds a special place in my heart.

Nearby, a classic red truck loaded with a freshly picked Christmas tree adds a touch of nostalgia.

One of my favourite new additions is a green Santa holding a tree, a treasure I found during a female family shopping tour—such a fun memory!

In the corner of the courtyard stands my extra-long candy cane pole, a whimsical statement piece.

Poinsettias, my favourite festive flowers, bring a burst of red and green.

The tree is adorned with handmade treasures, including a pair of mittens lovingly crafted by my daughter.

A cross-stitch of an elf with a lantern, also made by my clever daughter, stands proudly in a corner.

These heartfelt touches make the space feel even more special to me.

The courtyard also features an outdoor kitchen, perfect for preparing festive treats, and candles on the walls that cast a soft, warm glow as evening falls.

Apples, pinecones, and whimsical tree decorations add texture and charm, tying the theme together.

By day, the retractable roof lets in the gorgeous blue sky, bathing the space in natural light.

By night, the tree’s twinkling lights take over, adding a sparkle to the evening.

Whether it’s sipping eggnog under the stars or sharing laughter surrounded by the glow of candles, this courtyard transforms into a place where Christmas isn’t just celebrated—it’s truly lived.

Sometimes, I imagine that when the house grows quiet and everyone is fast asleep, the elf (tonttu) steps out of his stitched world, his lantern glowing softly. He opens the roof to enjoy the starlit sky and joins the whimsical cast of characters in the courtyard. He gives Mr. Grinch a gentle reminder to behave and offers Cindy Lou Who a candy cane stick, her laughter echoing through the night. Mickey and Minnie take Pluto for a moonlit stroll, while Chip and Dale scamper up the Christmas tree, playfully rearranging the ornaments.

Together, they bring the courtyard to life, filling it with laughter and mischief, as if Christmas itself had come alive under the stars.

When I awake in the morning, the magic of the night lingers in the air. Crumbs of gingerbread are scattered across the table, as if someone—or something—has enjoyed a midnight feast. The red rocking reindeer, which I distinctly remember being near the tree, has mysteriously moved to the other side of the table. I can’t help but smile as I glance at the elf (tonttu) in the cross-stitch, his lantern seemingly glowing a little brighter. I give him a knowing wink, certain that he and his whimsical friends have been up to mischief while I slept.

The courtyard holds onto their secrets, but the scattered crumbs and misplaced decorations invite you to imagine the fun they must have had.

So come on in! Grab a seat, soak in the festive vibes, and let your imagination run wild. There’s magic to be found in every corner of this enchanted space.
